Pack Meeting Procedures Each Den will take turns helping with the monthly pack meeting. The duties below will describe what each Den is responsible for. The rotation schedule follows.
The Set up/Clean up and Opening/Closing Dens will arrive at the Pack meeting no later than 5:45pm to ensure the meeting begins on time.
Opening/Closing - The Den performing the opening will lead the Pack in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Cub Scout Promise. The closing will consist of removing the Colors (the flags) from the meeting hall. If the Den would like to add something else Scout related to the closing this is at the discretion of the Den Leader. The Den performing the open and closing will be responsible to get the American and Cub Scout flags from the shed and return then after the meeting. Keys for the shed will be available from the Cub Master or other Den Leaders.
Set up/ Clean up - The Den responsible for set up and clean up will be responsible for setting up and/or removing chairs and tables for the event or Pack Meeting. This Den is also responsible to ensure the garbage cans are emptied and the floors are swept if necessary. Check with the Cub Master or Event Coordinator for the layout of the chairs/tables.
Entertainment - The Den performing the entertainment will lead the pack in a song or present a skit for the Pack at some point during the Event/Pack meeting.
Snack - The Den responsible for snack will provide a low cost, easy clean up snack for the pack. They are responsible for preparing the snack to include setting up a table, pouring drinks, providing any necessary supplies, napkins, cups, etc. The Den is also responsible for the clean up of the snack area. Any left over snack or supplies will be returned to the Den providing the snack. Keep the snack simple. Some supplies are located in the Scout Shed, check prior to use that enough supplies are available.
